The Restaurant & Kitchen

Hugo’s food is heavily influenced by his time spent in Italy over the years and artisan techniques, nose to tail cookery and seasonality define the cooking at Glebe House. We have a number of dining options available to house guests and non-residents.

Kitchen Supper Monday to Saturday for house guests.

For those looking for a more casual but hearty dining option we have our “kitchen supper” offering from Monday to Saturday. Think delicious pies with extremely flakey pastry, succulent roast chicken or a rather epic vegetable lasagne, follow by a season pudding. Charged at £30 per head including seasonal sides, which will most likely emanate from the garden. Pre ordering is essential as everything will be made fresh to order each week.

Glebe House Dinner - Thursday to Saturday - £60 per head.

A regularly changing, fixed menu; composed of four courses and delicious extras. Designed according to the season’s bounty and highlighting the exceptional meat, fish and poultry we have on our immediate doorstep.

Saturday lunch - £35 per head.A slightly lighter offering, consisting of three courses; Antipasti, Pasta and Pudding

Sunday lunch - £45 per head. A similar format to the Glebe House Dinner consisting of four courses, but a more relaxed and paired back affair.

We also offer delicious alternatives for vegetarians, vegan and other dietary requirements and allergies.

*Important* We highly recommend booking a table at room booking stage as we cannot always guarantee a table on restaurant nights.

Sunday evening

The kitchen is closed on Sunday evening but we offer evening snacks - a selection of home made goods from the larder, sourdough bread, cheese, house charcuterie and pickles for £15 per head.

Breakfast

Breakfast is included in your room rate and is served between 8am and 10am. Baked goods straight from the oven, bread, butter, seasonal compotes, jams, yoghurt and granola are all homemade. Please put your order in with the chef for any hot items that might be on offer that day. We do eggs one way, that is directly onto the aga hot plate and baked to desired runniness.

Picnics

We encourage guests to go and get lost in the beautiful Devon countryside with a well-crafted picnic on their back. Take a bottle of wine and a perfectly packaged picnic and find a spot you can call your own for the day. Expect a delicious selection or larder provisions all made in-house. Please pre order at least 48hrs in advance to allow us to prepare your picnic. The cost is £20 per head and alcoholic drinks are charged separately. Available from Thursday - Sunday.
